Act 2 - SPRING When the Sakura is Scattering

The classical Greek drama - "Oedipus the King" is a tragical story about the protagonist try to escape from the cursed fate, but end up verifying his own destiny again. This tragedy has some sense of sympathy with the Japanese mono-no-aware aesthetics, which are all related to the impermanence of fate. The differences between Eastern and Western cultures, however, have led to their different presentations. This new version of ‘Oedipus the King’ reinterpret this ancient Greek story with the mono-no-aware aesthetics and values, so as to reconstruct the ascending heroic and solemn feeling of Oedipus the King and reshape the sinking Japanese style.
